Euphorbia ‘Princettia’
花言葉：思いやり
ポインセチアから生まれた園芸品種。鮮やかなピンクに色づくのは、花びらではなく、葉が変化した「苞（ほう）」です。
本当の花は、その苞に囲まれた中心にある、杯状花序（Cyathia）と呼ばれる小さな器官。華やかな色のすぐ内側で、ひっそりと咲いています。
いちばん目を引く色は、本当の花を守るための装い。見えないものほど、静かに光っています。

プリンセチアの鮮やかなピンクが、じつは花ではなく「苞」で、本当の花は中心の小さな Cyathia だと知ったとき、この曲ができました。着せられた華やかな色を脱いだその奥に、ほんとうの自分がいる。
特別な何かにならなくていい。お姫さまの仮面（ティアラ）を置いて、小さくなってもいい。誰にも見つからなくても、あなたのままで息をしていい——そう伝えたくて。
